Job summary

Prime Healthcare's Olympia Fields Hospital is seeking a Lead Ultrasound Technologist to supervise and coordinate shift operations, ensuring high-quality diagnostic imaging and patient care. You will lead staff in the absence of management, promote teamwork, and assist in evaluations and discipline while maintaining compliance and safety standards.

Job description

Leads or coordinates shift operations of assigned activities, resources, and/or staff. Supervises staff in the absence of manager/director. Promotes teamwork and good customer service. Assists in annual evaluations and staff discipline. Lead Ultrasound Technologist demonstrates competency in performing all ultrasound exams, ensuring proficiency in producing technical and diagnostic scans for interpretation. Positions patient and equipment and produce an appropriate recording. The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for processing and transmission of Images to PACS.

Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
  • 1. RDMS (ARDMS) or S (ARRT) certification in at least one body or region required within 90 days of hire and maintain.
  • 2. Graduate an accredited ultrasound program or current certification as identified in #1 and graduation within 90 days of hire.
  • 4. Current BCLS certificate required upon hire and maintain current.
  • 6. Vascular certification required.
