Job summary

Piedmont Fayette Hospital is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and assist with routine invasive procedures. You will provide patient services across all age groups, maintain equipment, and communicate with radiology staff to ensure quality patient care.

The ideal candidate has an AMA/JRCERT accredited education, 2+ years of experience, and ARDMS registration in at least two specialties, with BCLS certification.

Qualifications

  • Must have AMA approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or JRCERT accreditation.
  • Minimum of 2 years of ultrasound work experience.
  • ARDMS registered in at least 2 specialties; BCLS certification; RVs/RVT preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards.
  • Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment across neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.
  • Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists; adheres to safety and quality guidelines.

Education

Graduate of an AMA approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program

Schedule: Monday- Friday, 4:00p-11:30p

Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment. Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.

  • RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist RVT (Registered Vascular Specialist) Preferred
