Job summary

Piedmont Fayette Hospital is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to operate ultrasound equipment and perform clinical exams in accordance with established standards. You will provide patient services and collaborate with radiologists and staff across age groups.

Qualifications include an AMA/JRCERT approved program, minimum 2 years' experience, ARDMS in at least 2 specialties, and BCLS on hire; RVS/RVT preferred. Schedule: Mon–Fri 4:00p–11:30p.

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or JRCERT accredited program.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in diagnostic ultrasound.
• ARDMS registration in at least 2 specialties upon hire.
• BCLS certification upon hire.
• RVS or RVT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures.
• Provide patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment.
• Demonstrate knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology.
• Provide patient care to all age groups and communicate with staff and radiologists.

Responsibilities

Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices. Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment. Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.
