Job summary

Piedmont McDuffie Hospital is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonography professional to operate ultrasound equipment for clinical exams and invasive procedures. The role requires BCLS on hire, ARDMS registration within 6 months, and potential vascular or breast ultrasound licensure pathways.

Excellent communication with radiologists and staff is essential for patient care across all ages. No prior experience required; 1 year preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved CAAHEP Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or ARRT approved program.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support required on hire.
• ARDMS registered or must become registered within 6 months of employment.
• Vascular credentials (RVT/RVS) preferred; must obtain within 6 months if applicable.
• Breast ultrasound licensure can be met via ARRT BS pathway.

• Provide patient care and ensure safety according to established standards.

Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment. Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.

• (BR) ARDMS or ARRT - Breast Sonography - Breast Licensure requirement for Breast Ultrasound can be met with registration through ARRT (BS) Required
