Job summary

Good Shepherd Health Care is seeking an Ultrasound Tech to perform diagnostic sonography across OB/GYN, abdomen, breast, vascular and small parts. The ultrasound team advances patient care within Diagnostic Imaging.

The role requires an associate or bachelor’s degree in sonography, ARDMS/OBMI credentials, and at least two years of experience, with a third-shift schedule and full-time hours. Training and patient support are essential aspects.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in sonography from a CAHEA-accredited program.
• OBMI and ARDMS registered US Sonographer; current BLS.
• Minimum of 2 years ultrasound experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic sonography procedures.
• Corroborates patient history with procedures and documents it for licensed practitioners.
• Prepares patients for procedures and provides instructions to obtain optimum results.
• Operates ultrasound equipment and selects appropriate transducers.
• Positions patient and equipment for optimal imaging.
• Evaluates images for quality and proper identification.
