Job summary

Wilson Medical Center is seeking an Ultrasound Technician to perform comprehensive sonographic studies across abdominal, obstetric, vascular and other areas. The role includes maintaining equipment, managing supplies, and delivering high-quality patient care in a busy radiology setting.

Domestic shift is 3rd shift (Mon-Thu, 8:30pm-7:00am). ARRT certification and/or graduation from an accredited DMS program are essential, with experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or School of Radiology.
• Minimum Work Experience: ARRT should have one year of DMS experience (preferred).
• Licenses: ARRT or graduate from an accredited DMS program.
• Skills and Abilities: Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality ultrasound studies including abdominal, OB, vascular, neonatal, pelvis, breast, and testicular small parts.
• Maintains appropriate files, supplies and equipment.
• Performs sonographic examinations as requested by referring physician.
• Maintains clean and orderly work area; notifies supervisor of needed items.
• Maintains equipment to ensure accuracy and longevity.
• Provides age-appropriate care to all patients.
• Acts as consultant and educational resource for scans.
