Valley Health is seeking an Ultrasound Technician to perform diagnostic procedures and provide quality care for patients of all ages. This role requires interaction with patients and staff in a professional manner within a fast-paced environment.

Job Description

The Ultrasound Technician performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures and provides high quality care for patients of all ages from neonatal to geriatric. Works in a fast‑paced, rapidly growing environment with reliance on your expertise, professionalism and collaboration. Produces diagnostic ultrasound images in accordance with department scanning protocols under the general supervision of a Radiologist. Interacts with patients, physicians and staff in a professional and friendly manner.

Pay Range

$35.30 - $52.95

Education

• Satisfactory completion of an accredited Sonography program.

Experience

• Years of clinical diagnostic ultrasound experience is preferred.

Certification & Licences

• ARDMS Certification in at least (1) speciality required.
• BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) – American Heart ‘Healthcare Provider’ (HCP) - AHA approved required.
• Additional RDMS certification in accordance with the American College of Radiology accreditation guidelines.
• New hires must have American Heart Association (AHA) appropriate certification prior to completion of orientation.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology for accurate medical diagnosis as associated with ultrasound.
• Competence in performing all types of general ultrasound procedures and services.
• Ability to effectively operate all equipment utilized within the scope of a sonographer.
• Accountability and attention to detail in the performance of duties.
• Friendly and professional demeanor.
