Job summary

Good Shepherd Health Care System in Hermiston, OR seeks an Ultrasound Tech for the Diagnostic Imaging department. You will perform diagnostic sonography across OB/GYN, abdomen, breast, vascular and small parts, ensuring patient comfort and accurate imaging in support of licensed practitioners.

The role requires an accredited CAHEA sonography program, OBMI/ARDMS registration, BLS, and at least 2 years of ultrasound experience.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from CAHEA-accredited sonography program or equivalent.
• OBMI and ARDMS registered US Sonographer.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum of 2 years Ultrasound experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic sonography procedures.
• Corroborates patient history with procedure documentation.
• Prepares patient for procedures and provides instructions.
• Selects and operates ultrasound equipment and transducers.
• Positions patient and equipment for optimal imaging.
• Maintains sterile technique and patient safety.
• Maintains patient records and confidentiality.
• Participates in department quality assessment and education.
