Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX is seeking an Ultrasound Sonographer for PRN coverage. You will work with physicians to perform ultrasound imaging exams, adhere to protocols, assist with equipment maintenance, and participate in quality control measures.

Required: Associate’s Degree or higher in diagnostic sonography and ARDMS RVT/RVS with BLS; RVT must be obtained within 6 months if not yet certified. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree and 2 years ultrasound experience.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s Degree or graduate of accredited program in diagnostic medical sonography.
• Licenses/certifications: ARDMS RVT/RVS and BLS; must obtain RVT within 6 months if not certified at hire.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree; 2 years ultrasound experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform grayscale, color, and duplex ultrasound imaging exams per protocol.
• Verify patient identity, prepare patient, and communicate clearly about procedures.
• Maintain equipment, quality control, and accurate documentation in PACS.
