Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas seeks an Ultrasound Sonographer for PRN shifts. This role performs ultrasound imaging exams, adheres to exam protocols, and supports equipment maintenance under physician supervision. A strong emphasis is on patient interaction and timely exam delivery.

The position requires an accredited education in sonography, ARDMS, RVT/RVS or related certifications, and BLS. Preferred candidates have a Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree or graduate of an accredited sonography program.
• Licenses/certifications: ARDMS; RVT/RVS; BLS by first day; RVT within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform grayscale, color and duplex ultrasound exams per protocol.
• Maintain exam quality, equipment readiness and patient communication.
• Assist with regulatory compliance and training of staff or students.

Education

Associate's Degree or Accred. Sonography Program

2 years ultrasound experience (preferred)
