Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center seeks a Radiologic Ultrasound Technologist to perform grayscale, color, and duplex ultrasound exams and to support accreditation and equipment maintenance.

The role requires an Associate Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or graduation from an accredited program, with ARDMS RVT/RVS and BLS certifications (or within six months of hire). A Bachelor’s degree is preferred and two years of ultrasound experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in diagnostic medical sonography or graduation from an accredited sonography program.
• ARDMS RVT/RVS certification required or expected within 6 months of hire.
• BLS certification by day one of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform grayscale, color, and duplex ultrasound exams according to protocol.
• Verify patient identification and obtain informed consent.
• Ensure images are stored in PACS and communicated to radiologists.
• Participate in QA/QC and regulatory compliance activities.
• Occasionally supervise or mentor students and residents.
