Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX seeks a ultrasound sonographer to perform grayscale, color, and duplex imaging exams and support accreditation and equipment maintenance under physician supervision.

Requires Associate's Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or equivalent, ARDMS RVT/RVS and BLS certifications; Bachelor's degree and RVT within 6 months if not held, plus 2 years ultrasound experience preferred. Shift Mon-Fri 8:30AM-5PM; competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's Degree Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Graduate of an Accredited Sonography Program
• Licenses and Certifications: ARDMS, RVT, RVS, BLS; RVT certification within six months if not currently held

Responsibilities

• Performs grayscale, color, and duplex imaging exams (carotid, extremity venous/arterial, abdominal, OB/GYN, small parts, etc.)
• Assists physician, ensures proper labeling, and stores images in PACS; contributes to QA/QC
• Maintains patient interaction standards, safety, and regulatory compliance; supports training of staff
