Job summary

Centra Health is seeking an Ultrasound Sonographer to perform advanced diagnostic ultrasound procedures for patients of all ages under physician supervision. You will review orders, confirm imaging necessities, and prepare patients for examinations.

Responsibilities include conducting exams in inpatient, outpatient, portable, and OR settings while providing preliminary findings to the physician. Strong knowledge of AIDET, infection control, and documentation is required.

Qualifications

• Requires Associated Degree or Certification in Ultrasonography, ARDMS registered or registry eligible within stated timeline.
• Registered RDMS/RDCS or RVS/RCS within 1 year of employment.
• CPR certification (AHA or Red Cross).

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasounds for patients of all ages.
• Assess patients before, during, and after procedures.
• Train students and staff as assigned.
• Explain procedures and ensure patient comfort using AIDET.
• Maintain records and safeguarding infection control.
