Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Frisco is seeking an Ultrasound Sonographer to perform ultrasound imaging exams under minimal supervision. This role includes sign-on benefits and a focus on safety, accuracy, and patient care.

Requires an Associate's Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or completion of an Accredited Program, ARDMS certifications (RVT/RVS) or equivalent, and BLS. A Bachelor's Degree and 2 years ultrasound experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Education and licenses required by start date.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• RVT/RVS/ARDMS certifications required or to be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• BLSCertification required by start date.

Responsibilities

• Performs grayscale, color, and duplex imaging exams per protocol.
• Maintains patient comfort and safety; interacts professionally with patients.
• Ensures documentation, image labeling, and PACS transfer of exams.
• Performs quality control and coordinates with radiologists and staff.
• Assists in supervision of students and residents as needed.
