Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX is hiring a Cardiac Sonographer to support our cardiology imaging services. The role requires ARDMS registry in Adult Echocardiography or equivalent training with clinical experience in echocardiography.

A sign-on bonus of $10,000 is offered and preferred is 1 year of cardiovascular sonography experience. Responsibilities include image acquisition, patient preparation, data entry, and collaboration with the cardiology team to ensure high-quality

Qualifications

• Current ARDMS registry in Adult Echocardiography or successful completion of an ultrasound or cardiovascular technology program with verified clinical Echocardiography experience.
• Licenses and Certifications include ARDMS, CMA (or CMA-related), CCI Credentialing, and BLS.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates patient throughput and enhances patient satisfaction with testing process.
• Reviews patient chart and history to ensure accurate echo study interpretation.
• Positions patient and operates ultrasound equipment to obtain quality images of cardiac structures.
• Documents measurements and enters patient data accurately for billing and records.
• Performs ultrasound procedures including Cardiac Doppler, Color Flow Doppler, 2D Echo and stress/echo where applicable.
• Maintains equipment and ensures images are read and finalized timely by cardiology reading team.
• Maintains patient privacy and follows chain-of-command for any issues or adverse events.

CAAHEP or CMA accreditation
