Job summary

Spectrum Health Canton Care Center is seeking a Casual Ultrasound Technologist to perform ultrasound exams with established policies and procedures. The role requires ARDMS certifications and BLS upon hire, along with a strong clinical skill set to produce diagnostically useful images.

Under the site designate leader, you will contribute to quality patient care, work variable shifts, and support a patient-centered culture at Corewell Health facilities in Canton.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or ultrasound program graduate required
• 1 year ARDMS-related experience required for multiple certifications
• BLS certification required upon hire (AHA or ARC)
• Multiple ARDMS certifications required as specified
• Cardiac and vascular specialization requirements vary by role and site

Responsibilities

• Perform Ultrasound exams accurately and efficiently
• Provide high-quality images for interpretation

Job description

CASUAL POSITON

SITE LOCATION: CARE CENTER, CANTON

Scope to Work

Under site designate leader, and according to established policies and procedures performs accurate and efficient Ultrasound exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment, independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. Technologists must demonstrate good clinical skills and provide the best possible images for interpretation. Follows Corewell Health philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care at all times.

Qualifications

• Required associate's degree or equivalent Graduate of Diagnostic Ultrasound Program or equivalent.
• Minimal as gained at student level. Required
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required Or
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required
• CRT-Sonographer (S) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography EXCLUDE Cardiac 1 Year required
• CRT-Breast Sonographer (BS) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography EXCLUDES Cardiac, General, Vascular 1 Year required
• CRT-Abdomen (AB) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography EXCLUDES Cardiac EXCLUDES Vascular 1 Year required Or
