Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an Ultrasonic NDT Inspector to join the Operations team. You will perform development and production activities involving ultrasonic testing on flight hardware, ensuring part integrity and life span.

The role emphasizes safe, repeatable spaceflight and requires leadership, attention to quality, and adherence to standards. Responsibilities include establishing techniques, performing ultrasonic inspections, and interfacing with engineers to communicate findings.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Level 2 ultrasonic experience.
• Pass Ultrasonic General Test and Specific Test by week 3.
• 80 hours of Phased Array Training.
• Certified to NAS-410 Level II in Ultrasound with 800+ hours documented.
• Vision and color perception requirements.
• Familiar with ASTM E164, E2700, E2375 standards.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain techniques to properly examine hardware, ensuring safety and specification compliance.
• Perform inspections using Ultrasonic equipment.
• Interpret inspection results and apply acceptance criteria from drawings or shop work orders.
• Document and organize inspection results.
• Interface with Engineers and/or Managers to describe inspection results.
