Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced NDT Ultrasonic Inspector to support the Ultrasonic inspection of flight critical metallic and composite hardware. The role focuses on delivering safe, repeatable spaceflight with a strong emphasis on quality and process discipline.

The position will involve shift work (C Shift, Friday-Sunday, 5:00AM–5:30PM) and close collaboration with engineers and manufacturing teams. A NAS-410 based background and the ability to work overtime and off shifts are expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Level 2 experience in ultrasonics.
• Must pass Ultrasonic General Test and Specific Test by week 3.
• Must meet NAS-410 training in Ultrasound.
• Must qualify to Level II status per NAS-410 with at least 800 hours.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain techniques to properly examine hardware, adhering to safety and specification requirements.
• Perform inspections using Ultrasonic equipment.
• Interpret inspection results and apply acceptance criteria from drawings or work orders.
• Documentation and organization of inspection results.
• Interface with Engineers/Managers to describe inspection results.
