Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an NDT Technician - Ultrasonic (UT) Level II for A Shift in Titusville, FL. Lead on-site ultrasonic inspection to certify spaceflight hardware for flight readiness. Responsibilities include performing UT inspections, interpreting results, and documenting findings while coordinating with engineers.

The role requires Level II UT experience, NAS-410 certification, and the ability to work overtime. Join a mission-driven team ensuring safety and quality in aerospace hardware.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Level 2 experience in ultrasonics.
• Must be able to pass Ultrasonic General Test and Specific Test by week 3.
• 80 hours of Phased Array Training.
• Qualified to certify to level II status per NAS-410 requirements in Ultrasound with a minimum documented experience of 800 hours.
• Meet minimum Vision Requirements (vision test specifics).
• Familiar with ASTM E164, E2700, E2375 standards related to UT.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Experience with MS Office products.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends and off shifts as needed.
• US citizenship or eligible status required.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain techniques to properly examine hardware, ensuring adherence to all safety and specification requirements.
• Perform inspections using Ultrasonic equipment.
• Interpret inspection results and apply acceptance criteria identified on drawing or shop work order.
• Documentation and organization of inspection results.
• Interface/communicate with Engineers and/or Managers to describe inspection results.
