Job summary

MAKITA Corporation of America, a worldwide leading producer of high quality power tools, seeks a UL Lab Engineer to join our team in Buford, GA. This role focuses on UL/CSA certification requests and project testing with responsibility reviewed by a senior engineer.

Under supervision, you will manage qualifying projects, interface with lab staff, and assist in developing test fixtures while supporting the regulatory and compliance department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 1–3 years of professional experience.
• Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint; strong writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages somewhat complex project work for UL/CSA certifications.
• Assists Senior Project Leader with complex certification projects.
• Interfaces with Lab Supervisor and Technicians for project management.
• Obtains UL & CSA certification to participate in data submittal programs.
• Assists in development and build of test fixtures.
