Job summary

Formlabs is seeking a Field Application Engineer for the UK & Ireland region. The role focuses on on-site installation, training, and ongoing support across customer sites, with frequent travel (80%+). You will install, calibrate, and commission 3D printing systems, train customers, and lead demonstrations to showcase the technology.

Fluency in English and a valid driver’s license are required. The position emphasizes hands-on engineering, customer empowerment, and rapid response to downtime,

Qualifications

• Strong electromechanical or hardware background is required.
• Ability to train customers and present technical information clearly.
• Willingness to travel 80%+ and manage installations on customer sites.
• Fluent English (C1–C2) and excellent communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license (B) is required.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission new 3D printing systems at customer sites.
• Deliver on-site training and live product demonstrations.
• Perform urgent repairs and preventative maintenance during visits.
• Manage travel logistics and document activities in Salesforce.
