Acclaim Technical Services is seeking an on-site UI/UX Designer in Chantilly, VA. You will shape intuitive digital experiences through human-centered design, user research, and collaboration with developers from discovery to implementation.

Responsibilities include conducting interviews and usability testing, creating personas and flows, and delivering high-fidelity prototypes. You will help establish design strategy and ensure consistency with design systems across digital assets.

Qualifications

Job description

Acclaim Technical Services is seeking a UI/UX Designer for an onsite role in Chantilly, VA. In this position, you will help shape intuitive digital experiences by applying UI/UX design principles, human-centered design, and user research. You will collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders from early discovery through wireframes, prototypes, and implementation support.

Responsibilities

Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to uncover user needs and behavior patterns.
Create user personas, user flows, and wireframes to guide design decisions.
Develop a UI/UX design strategy for the customer’s digital assets.
Design key UI components, including navigation menus, search boxes, and calls to action (CTAs), to improve overall user experience.
Produce high-fidelity prototypes and validate designs through testing to confirm user experience quality.
Partner with development teams, stakeholders, and customer representatives to ensure design requirements are met.
Share guidance on applying UX research methods and supporting testing activities.
Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies that can strengthen digital outcomes.

Requirements

Demonstrated professional experience with user research methods, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
Proficiency with UI/UX tools including Sketch, InVision, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Experience using wireframing and prototyping tools such as Figma and Axure.
Strong understanding of human-centered design principles and design thinking.
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals to communicate design requirements to development teams.
Experience working with design systems and style guides to keep digital assets consistent.
Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Computer Science, or a related field, plus 5 years of relevant experience. Additional years of experience may be accepted in place of a degree.
