Boeing (BI&A) is seeking a UI/UX Designer to help shape human-centered experiences for Sponsor applications. In this onsite role in Virginia (Northern Virginia, VA), you will combine user research, interface design, and iterative testing to translate end-user needs into strategies, wireframes, prototypes, and design documentation that development teams can implement.
The work includes partnering across stakeholders to integrate design outputs into applications, while maintaining consistency through design systems and interface specifications. The position is contingent upon contract award.
What you’ll do
- Conduct user research to understand end-user needs, behaviors, and challenges, then translate findings into actionable insights.
- Design and prototype intuitive, user-friendly interfaces and experiences using human-centered design principles and best practices.
- Collaborate with developers, project managers, and stakeholders to support seamless integration of UI/UX designs into Sponsor applications.
- Create and present UI/UX design strategies, wireframes, and mockups to improve application usability and functionality.
- Develop and maintain design documentation, including style guides, design systems, and interface specifications for consistency and scalability.
- Perform usability testing to collect feedback, identify improvement areas, and iterate designs to meet user expectations.
- Stay current on emerging trends, tools, and technologies in UI/UX design to continuously strengthen design methodology and deliver innovative solutions.
Required qualifications
- TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance
- 5 years of experience in UI/UX Design or Development, or a highly related technical field.
- 5 years of experience applying user research methodologies, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to inform design decisions and validate user experience.
- Proficiency with UI/UX design tools such as Sketch, InVision, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- 5 years of experience with wireframing and prototyping tools such as Figma and Axure.
- Strong understanding of human-centered design principles and design thinking for intuitive digital experiences.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals to communicate design requirements to development teams.

- Pay range: $124,000 - $155,000 per yearly
