Qualifications

Job description

Senior UI/UX Designer role focused on human-centered experiences for complex analytical web applications supporting an Intelligence Community agency.

Responsibilities

• Define UI/UX strategies, drive research initiatives, and establish design systems for client applications
• Use Human-Centered Design (HCD) to shape intuitive workflows for complex data and analytical platforms
• Lead qualitative and quantitative user research, including interviews, surveys, persona development, and usability testing
• Produce wireframes, interactive prototypes, user flows, and high-fidelity visual design concepts
• Partner with full-stack software developers to align visual design intent with technical implementation and usability needs
• Apply emerging practices to continuously improve interfaces, including responsive design and accessibility standards

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent technical discipline
• User research experience: Minimum 5 years using research methodologies such as interviews, testing, and surveys to guide design decisions
• Design and prototyping tools: Minimum 5 years hands-on experience with Sketch, InVision, and Adobe Creative Suite, plus prototyping tools including Figma and Axure
• Web fundamentals: Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to collaborate effectively with full-stack engineers
• Clearance: U.S. citizen with an active TS/SCI with Polygraph
