Job summary

Respawn Entertainment is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Jedi team and build best-in-class UI experiences for PC players. You’ll own the front-end features from design to delivery, collaborating with engineers, UI/UX designers, and producers to optimize the player experience.

The role emphasizes ownership, proactive debugging, and contributing to a positive team culture. Unreal Engine experience is a major plus but not required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience in the games industry as an engineer focusing on UI/UX.
• Proficiency in C++ and gameplay/UI integration.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of diagnosing complex issues.
• Excellent communication and teamwork, collaborating across diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable UI systems, in-game HUDs, menus, and front-end features.
• Drive PC-specific UI/UX features, including navigation, cursor behaviors, key remapping, and settings menus.
• Proactively identify, diagnose, and solve issues related to bugs and player experience improvements.
• Collaborate with engineers, UI/UX designers, artists, producers, and QA to deliver quality features.
• Contribute to team morale and healthy culture.
• Share and receive feedback on the game as a whole.
