Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior UI Technical Designer to translate UX and visual directions into production-ready UI specifications and prototypes for Unreal Engine.

You will define flows, interactions, and component standards to ensure cross-platform reliability. Responsibilities include building a scalable UI system, authoring behavior rules, and collaborating with engineers and UI artists to validate feasibility and performance.

Qualifications

• Strong UI/UX foundation with 3+ years shipping digital products or game UI.
• Expert-level proficiency in Figma (components, variants, auto-layout, handoff-ready docs).
• Ability to create implementation-ready documentation: annotated layouts, interaction notes, state diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Define UI flows, user journeys, and interaction models for in-game screens and features; produce clear, implementable specs.
• Build and maintain a scalable UI component system (patterns, components, variants, states).
• Author detailed behavior rules: navigation/focus order, back behavior, input handling, error/empty/loading states, edge cases.
• Collaborate daily with client engineers and UI artists to ensure designs are feasible, performant, and consistent in-engine.
• Support iteration and polish: review implementations and adjust designs based on constraints and QA findings.
