Job summary

Quest Global is seeking a UI Engineer to design and develop frontend‑heavy web applications. You’ll work with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS to implement features and consume REST APIs.

You will collaborate with backend services via Node.js, use Git for version control, and engage in DevOps basics (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, CI/CD). Austin onsite role with full benefits and strong cross‑functional teamwork.

Qualifications

Experience designing and developing frontend web applications.
Strong experience with frontend technologies and frameworks (React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS).
Proficient with consuming REST APIs and handling HTTP responses.
Experience with backend web services frameworks - Node.js.
Some experience with relational databases - SQL.
Strong experience with Git, bug tracking, and collaborating with a software team.
Basic understanding of containerization and DevOps (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, CI/CD).
Strong debugging and diagnostic skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills.
Analytical thinking and self-directed collaboration.

Responsibilities

Design and develop web applications with a frontend emphasis.
Work with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS to build features.
Consume REST APIs and manage HTTP responses smoothly.
Collaborate on backend services using Node.js and related tools.
Engage with relational databases and SQL as needed.
Leverage Git and issue tracking within a software team.
Apply basic DevOps concepts (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, CI/CD).
Debug, diagnose, and resolve issues efficiently.
Communicate clearly with teammates and stakeholders.
Balance multiple tasks while delivering quality work.
Partner with PMs, designers, and developers to deliver modules.

What You Will Do

Experience with designing and developing web applications with an emphasis on frontend
Strong experience with frontend web technologies and frameworks - React, Javascript/Typescript, HTML/CSS

What You Will Bring

Estimate, plan, and implement software development work.\
Work closely with product manager to gather requirements to build new modules or improve existing modules.
Evaluate, maintain and improve existing code base to ensure that it is properly structured and utilize software engineering best practices.
Troubleshoot, identify, and research reported issues, and have the ability to provide recommendations by comparing advantages and disadvantages of various solutions.
Stay on top of new technologies and tools, and adopt relevant ones to the team.
Participate in peer reviews, learn and apply software engineering best practices to your work.
Accountable for meeting assigned project objectives and timelines.
Set engineering vision and direction for existing and future applications.

Pay Range

$100,000-$115,000 per annum

Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.

Work Requirements

This role is considered an on-site position located in Austin,TX. USA

You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
