Job summary

Amentum is seeking a UH60 Aircraft Mechanic I to troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in UH60 aircraft structures, propulsion, and flight control systems. The role involves inspecting engines, landing gear, hydraulics, and electrical systems, and performing 100-hour and other inspections, using a range of tools and testing equipment.

Candidates must hold a current A&P license or meet the alternate experience requirements; US citizenship for facility credentials may be required.

Qualifications

• Valid up-to-date A&P license.
• If no A&P license, 3 years aviation maintenance, 2 years rotary wing experience, and 2 years on UH60.
• All experience within the last 6 years.
• Military/OEM maintenance training or DoD/OHS MDS equivalent for UH60 preferred.
• Must obtain and maintain facility credentials; US Citizenship required for credentials.
• Tools required; must own shadowed/etched tools and toolbox.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot malfunctions in UH60 aircraft systems.
• Repair/rebuild aircraft structures and components using tools.
• Read manuals and specs to determine repair methods.
• Perform 100-hour and other inspections and diagnose engine issues.
• Inspect and test jet engines and components with testing gear.
• Document work in maintenance records; may supervise jacking/towing.
• May be licensed by FAA; may service engines and airframe components.
