Job summary

Amentum in Helena, MT is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic I (UH-60) to maintain helicopters according to manuals and directives. You will remove and install subsystems, service and lubricate aircraft and subsystems, and prepare aircraft for inspections and checks.

You will perform scheduled inspections, assist in diagnostics, and help update maintenance records. Must have a high school diploma, rotary-wing experience, and the ability to obtain security clearances.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• U.S. military technical school or specialized training preferred; certification of education level required.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Three years aviation maintenance experience, two years rotary wing, and two years on the assigned MDS within the last six years.

Responsibilities

• Remove/install aircraft subsystem assemblies (engines, rotors, gearboxes, transmissions, flight controls).
• Service and lubricate aircraft and subsystems.
• Prepare aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks.
• Perform scheduled inspections and assist in special inspections.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot subsystems using required tools.
• Maintain maintenance records and forms.
