Job summary

Amentum is seeking an UH60 Aircraft Mechanic I to troubleshoot and repair UH-60 aircraft structures, engines, and subsystems. You will perform inspections and ensure components meet technical specifications, using a variety of tools and diagnostic equipment.

The role requires strong troubleshooting, reading technical data, and the ability to work with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. It involves logs, notes, and potential FAA credentialing where applicable.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and troubleshooting skills across aircraft systems.
• Working knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical and related systems.
• Familiarity with Quality Control, Production and Supply procedures.
• Ability to use hand tools, gauges, torque wrenches and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to decide when repair or replacement is needed.
• Must be able to read and apply technical data.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots malfunctions in UH60 aircraft structures, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls.
• Repairs, replaces, and rebuilds aircraft components using hand/power tools and equipment.
• Uses manuals and data to determine repair methods and feasibility.
• Conducts 100-hour, progressive, isochronal, phase and other inspections.
• Inspects engines, turbines, and auxiliary systems for faults and wear.
• Maintains logs and records of work performed; may aid in line maintenance.
• May require FAA licensing or affiliation with credentialing.
