Job summary

Black Box in Fresno, CA is seeking a skilled Unified Communications technician to install and program UC platforms across Premise, Hosted, and Cloud environments. The role covers chat, voice, video, mobility, and unified messaging, with emphasis on reliability and user satisfaction.

You will troubleshoot and test systems, complete MAC work orders, and coordinate with North American Operations to deliver projects on time.

Qualifications

Associate degree or certification in a technology services/technical discipline.
Minimum 2+ years' Unified Communications experience.
Industry and manufacturer certifications preferred (examples: Cisco CCNA Voice/Network, Microsoft MCSE).
Proven ability to install, service, program, test and troubleshoot UC systems.
Strong customer service orientation with effective communication skills.
Valid driver's license and ability to drive company vehicles.

Responsibilities

Install and program UC platforms including chat, voice, video, mobility, and unified messaging.
Troubleshoot UC systems across Premise, Hosted, and Cloud environments.
Process MAC changes and complete work orders.
Maintain customer satisfaction by professional interactions with internal and external customers.
Coordinate with North American Operations to complete projects efficiently.
Document time, progress, and materials for billing and SLAs.
Respond to emergencies to meet SLAs and ensure material availability.
Attend trainings and meetings to perform job functions.
Achieve KPIs as directed by leadership.
Perform other duties as assigned.
