Job summary

AV is seeking a Test Technician II for our manufacturing facility in Simi Valley, CA. The role focuses on testing and assembling Small Unmanned Aircraft System products per engineering drawings and instructions, using our work order system.

You will perform mechanical subassembly and final assembly, test and troubleshoot, and collaborate with engineering to improve processes while maintaining high quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1-2 years in manufacturing or production in electronics or electro-mechanical assembly and test.
• Experience with hand tools including crimpers, drills, taps, torque wrenches, power tools and air tools.
• Ability to solder as part of assembly.
• Good manual dexterity and basic computer operation skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical assembly of subassemblies using hand and/or power tools.
• Final assembly of ground control equipment and air vehicles.
• Testing and troubleshooting of subassemblies and final assemblies.
• Collaborate with Production Technicians and Engineering to improve assembly documents.
• Ensure work order protocols are followed and paperwork completed.
• May train other technicians to build a product or follow an assembly process.
• May conduct in-process quality checks for established standards.
• Support engineering to improve efficiency, quality and reduce costs.
