Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking a Test Technician III to test and assemble UAV products in our Petaluma, CA facility. You will follow engineering drawings and assembly instructions, perform mechanical assembly, test and troubleshoot subassemblies, and ensure high-quality documentation on each work order.

Typical responsibilities include training others, conducting in-process quality checks, and collaborating with manufacturing engineers to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2–4 years in manufacturing or production in electronics or electro-mechanical assembly and test.
• Experience with hand tools and soldering.
• Strong manual dexterity and basic computing skills.
• Ability to interpret instructions from writing, diagrams, or schedules.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical assembly of subassemblies using hand/power tools.
• Final assembly of ground control equipment and air vehicles.
• Testing and troubleshooting subassemblies and final assemblies.
• Follow work order protocols and complete paperwork.
• May train others and conduct in-process quality checks.
• Support engineering to improve assembly processes and documentation.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
