Job summary

PingWind is seeking a Software Engineer in Virginia Beach, VA to design, develop, test, and maintain software for mission-critical UAV systems.

You will work with cross-functional teams to implement sensor fusion with IMUs, GPS, cameras, and LiDAR, and use BetaFlight, ArduPilot, and PX4 for flight control integration.

Bachelor's degree is required; a secret clearance with TS/SCI eligibility is preferred, with a salary range of $84k-$117k and robust benefits."

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science field.
• Experience with C/C++ in embedded or robotics environments.
• Strong knowledge of autonomous navigation and sensor fusion.
• Familiarity with SDLC and cybersecurity requirements.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in C, C++, and OO software development.
• Develop, test, and maintain software for UAV applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet mission objectives.
• Contribute to SDLC activities including requirements analysis and deployment.
• Implement sensor fusion using IMUs, GPS, cameras, LiDAR.
• Use QGroundControl for mission planning and monitoring.
• Develop GUI with Qt/QML.
• Ensure cybersecurity requirements are met.
