Job summary

AeroVironment in California is seeking a Test Technician II to assemble and test Small Unmanned Arial System products in our manufacturing facility, following engineering drawings and assembly instructions with our work order system.

Responsibilities include mechanical subassembly and final assembly of ground control equipment and air vehicles, plus testing and troubleshooting to meet high quality standards; training others and supporting continuous improvement are possible.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1–2 years in manufacturing/production electronics assembly and test.
• Experience with hand tools including crimpers, drills, taps, torque wrenches, power and air tools.
• Ability to solder as part of assembly function.
• Good manual dexterity and basic computer operation skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical assembly of subassemblies using hand and/or power tools.
• Final assembly of ground control equipment and air vehicles.
• Testing and troubleshooting of subassemblies and final assemblies.
• Maintain work order protocols and complete paperwork as work is performed.
• May train other technicians to build a product or follow an established process.
• May conduct in-process quality checks to ensure high quality standards.
