Dominion Energy is seeking an Unmanned Systems Operator I (Land Survey, Post Processing) based in Richmond, VA. The role supports routine and rapid response inspections using small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS) across the Dominion Energy footprint, with frequent travel and data processing responsibilities.

The position emphasizes safety, flight planning, FAA regulatory compliance, and collaboration with internal teams and clients to deliver high-quality survey data and insights.

Formación

• 2+ years of 14 CFR Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
• Understanding of sUAS capabilities, limitations and sensor payloads.
• Ability to manipulate precise instrumentation and aviation principles.
• Ability to guide others in day-to-day operations.

Responsabilidades

• Operate with a safety mindset at all times.
• Develop flight plans, check NOTAMS, weather, and coordinate airspace integration.
• Conduct pre-mission briefs and post-flight after-action reviews.
• Maintain company vehicle and unmanned systems.
• Comply with FAA Part 107 sUAS rules and Dominion Energy procedures.
• Execute UAS operations and problem-solve with teams.
• Collaborate with coworkers, partners and clients on projects.
• Serve as the face of the company on the ground with strong customer service.
• Perform minor integration and maintenance on aircraft.
• Travel frequently up to 76-100%.
