Job summary

FALCATA's AISR Division in Arlington, VA seeks a Software Engineer to design, develop, integrate, and test embedded software for unmanned aircraft systems. You will contribute to autonomous vehicle software, sensor integration, and prototype bring-up on UAV platforms.

The ideal candidate has 0–2 years of experience, proficiency in C/C++, Python, and MATLAB, and the ability to work with a multidisciplinary team across sites; US citizenship and DoD clearance will be required.

Qualifications

• Associate/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Aerospace engineering, or related field.
• 0-2 years of experience.
• US Citizenship with ability to obtain Top Secret DoD clearance.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Python, MATLAB, JavaScript.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain clean, well-documented code for embedded systems.
• Assist in debugging and testing a larger codebase with a multi-developer team.
• Conduct developmental tests to identify and fix issues.
• Support software development activities for UAS platforms from prototyping to field testing.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across locations.
• Work with product owners to build software solutions for requirements.
• Develop rapid, workable software solutions to meet real-world challenges.
