Job summary

USGA in Toledo is seeking a Coordinator, U.S. Women's Open Operations to oversee advance planning, budgeting, vendor coordination, and site operations for the championship. This role will liaise with host sites, vendors, municipalities, and staff to deliver all infrastructure requirements.

The ideal candidate has 1-3+ years in sports operations or large-scale events, strong project management and vendor management skills, and willingness to relocate for future U.S. Women's Open sites.

Qualifications

• 1-3+ years of relevant sports operations experience.
• Strong expertise in event logistics, site operations, vendor management, and construction coordination.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and manage budgets with vendor scope accountability.
• Strong leadership, project management, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Attention to detail with ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability and willingness to work onsite for extended periods and relocate as required.

Responsibilities

• Manage relationships with host site leadership and coordinate site-impact timelines, space requirements, construction activities, and post-event restoration.
• Lead procurement and RFP process for select championship services with USGA Procurement.
• Assist with management of the U.S. Women’s Open operations budget, overseeing invoices, payments, billbacks, and reconciliation.
• Direct execution of operational scopes including trailers, storage containers, fences, restrooms, furniture, rental equipment, and golf carts.
• Lead cross-functional communication across the operations team, host site, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Support site inspections, surveying, and championship site planning with senior leadership and consultants.
• Develop and manage construction schedules, monitor vendor progress, coordinate onsite activities, and oversee punch-list completion.
• Manage recruitment, onboarding, training, and daily supervision of interns throughout construction and operations.
• Assist with event permitting with local municipalities and approvals.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings and weekly onsite construction meetings.
