Job summary

USGA is seeking an Assistant Director, Championship Administration to lead the in-house administration of major championships, including the U.S. Senior Women's Open and U.S. Adaptive Open, from entry and exemptions to qualifying oversight.

This role builds strategic relationships with Allied Golf Associations and supports modernization and events across the championship calendar. The role requires 6–10 years of relevant golf administration experience, deep knowledge of the Rules of Golf, and

Qualifications

  • BS/BA from an accredited institution with 6-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in golf tournament administration at national, state, or regional level preferred.
  • Must be knowledgeable in the Rules of Golf.
  • Unquestioned character and integrity.
  • Ability to travel 30-40 days per year.

Responsibilities

  • Manage in-house administration of the U.S. Senior Women's Open and U.S. Adaptive Open, including entry, exemption and qualifying processes.
  • Oversee annual qualifying site and exemption review; prepare and administer applications.
  • Correspond with players, officials and Allied Golf Associations; allocate places and manage alternates.
  • Develop relationships with organizational partners and key stakeholders.
  • Lead day-to-day operations, supervise two direct reports, and advance modernization efforts.
