The Opportunity:

We are seeking a clinically credible market builder to own growth across an assigned U.S. territory. This role combines quota ownership with hands-on procedural support: the Territory Manager will create demand, open hospitals, guide evaluations and value-analysis approvals, train physicians, fellows and endovascular teams, and turn initial use into sustained adoption. Success requires more than maintaining established accounts; it requires the judgment and persistence to build a market in a lean, high-accountability environment.

What You Will Own

Territory growth and business discipline

Own the territory strategy and business plan, quarterly and annual quota, account segmentation, pipeline and forecast. Maintain accurate CRM activity, a qualified forward pipeline and disciplined forecasts while balancing new-account creation with deeper utilization in active accounts. Develop clinically and economically sound account strategies, including pricing, contracting and value discussions within company guidelines. Monitor relevant market, customer and competitive developments, and translate field insight into territory priorities and timely internal feedback.

New account creation and competitive conversion

Prospect and create access within priority hospitals, develop physician champions, and lead the full sales cycle through clinical evaluation, value analysis committee review, pricing, contracting and conversion. Build adoption on clinical value and workflow fit, then establish a follow-up cadence that protects the conversion and expands use. Support responsible market-development initiatives that expand awareness of appropriate thrombectomy treatment options and improve institutional readiness for adoption.

Clinical adoption and case support

Present and demonstrate Vesalio products, support acute endovascular procedures, and train physicians and staff on approved indications, contraindications, device setup and technique. Communicate evidence and indication boundaries responsibly, troubleshoot implementation issues, and elevate questions appropriately.

Champion and stakeholder development

Develop credible clinical advocates and work effectively across neurointerventional, interventional cardiology, interventional radiology and vascular environments, as applicable to the territory. Navigate clinical staff, administrators, supply chain, value analysis and contracting stakeholders to create durable institutional support.

Lean-team execution and partnership

Personally manage the operational details that keep a territory moving, including case coordination, customer follow-up, field inventory stewardship and reliable product availability, CRM hygiene, business reviews and responsible territory expense management. Collaborate across Sales, Marketing, Clinical, Product, Operations and other functions as needed; share field insights, help resolve implementation needs, and represent Vesalio with sound judgment, confidentiality and the highest ethical standards.

What Success Looks Like

The Territory Manager will meet or exceed quota while creating repeatable territory momentum: priority accounts are mapped, forecasts are credible, new evaluations move to approval, conversions produce sustained utilization, and existing customers receive the clinical and commercial follow-through needed to expand adoption. Physicians and hospital teams view the Territory Manager as prepared, responsive and appropriately evidence-led.

What You Bring

Required Experience

  • Five or more years of consultative hospital medical-device sales, or a comparable combination of quota-carrying sales and relevant clinical field experience, with evidence of measurable performance and territory ownership.
  • Meaningful commercial and case-support experience in a relevant endovascular domain, such as neurointervention/stroke, complex PCI/STEMI, or peripheral vascular intervention, including ALI and PAD.
  • Demonstrated success building business rather than only inheriting it – for example, opening accounts, leading evaluations, navigating hospital approval, converting competition, or establishing sustained utilization after launch.
  • Ability to learn and communicate clinical evidence, appropriate product applications, relevant patient-selection considerations and indication boundaries without overclaiming.
  • Demonstrated success working independently across a broad geography while forecasting accurately, prioritizing time and coordinating multiple customer and internal workstreams.

Especially Relevant

  • Direct experience with mechanical or aspiration thrombectomy, new-technology launches, urgent endovascular procedures, expanding utilization within active accounts, and/or recurring disposable utilization.
  • Relationships and thrombectomy workflow fluency in angio suites, cath labs, interventional radiology or vascular settings, including physician training and on-call case coverage.
  • Cross-domain experience spanning two vascular call points, or demonstrated learning agility across anatomy, procedures and specialties.

Education and Tools

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent job-related experience.
  • Working proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams/Zoom, CRM platforms such as Salesforce, and general administrative and expense-reporting tools.
How You Work

You are proactive, self-sufficient and precise. You prepare thoroughly, follow through reliably and remain composed in time-sensitive clinical environments. You ask good questions, listen well, acknowledge limits, communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders and combine competitive drive with teamwork, discretion and sound ethical judgement.

Work location, travel and physical requirements

This is a remote field-based role within the assigned territory. More than 50% travel is expected, along with driving, occasional air travel, nights, weekends and unscheduled/on-call procedural support. The role requires regular communication, travel and work in hospital procedural environments, including wearing required radiation-protective lead apparel, standing, walking, sitting and frequent hand use. The successful candidate must be able to satisfy applicable customer-site credentialing requirements. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals to perform the essential functions. A valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements are required.

Compensation and employment information

This position is eligible for competitive base compensation, a sales-incentive opportunity, and company benefits in accordance with applicable Vesalio plans and policies. Position-specific compensation and benefits information will be provided during the recruiting process. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment-based immigration sponsorship. Relocation assistance will not be provided. Vesalio’s equal-employment-opportunity and reasonable-accommodation policies apply to this position.
