Job summary

Imperative Logistics Group in the United States is seeking an Import Supervisor to lead the U.S. Import team and ensure compliant, efficient, high-quality customs clearance operations. This role guides daily import activities, develops team members, and drives performance while adhering to U.S.

Customs regulations and PGA requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, analytical skills, and bilingual English/Spanish communication; travel to ports or customer sites may be

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Minimum three (3) years of import, customs brokerage, or international logistics experience.
• Minimum two (2) years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, import processes, and PGA requirements.
• Ability to communicate in English and Spanish, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing U.S. import team.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and PGA requirements.
• Oversee daily import activities and documentation quality.
• Develop SOPs for new customer accounts and processes.
• Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement in operations.
• Foster relationships with customers and internal partners.
• Coordinate with ports and resolve customs issues as needed.
• Assist with administrative controls, billing reviews, and audits.
