Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Licensed Customs Import Manager to lead import operations, ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs regulations. The role oversees CBP-related processes, manages a team of professionals, and coordinates with freight forwarders and brokers to optimize efficiency and compliance.

The ideal candidate holds a LCB certification, strong leadership experience, and deep knowledge of import operations and international trade compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 5+ years of import management experience in manufacturing.
• Extensive knowledge of CBP regulations and compliance.
• Experience with FDA, USDA, EPA is a plus.
• Experience with freight forwarders and brokers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all import process activities in CBP-compliant manner.
• Ensure adherence to government agency requirements.
• Manage relationships with freight forwarders and brokers.
• Develop and implement import strategies to optimize cost and efficiency.
• Coordinate with departments to ensure compliant operations.
• Handle customs audits and provide documentation.
• Stay updated on import laws and communicate changes.
