Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced U-2 Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join the Depot Level Maintenance Team at Beale AFB, California. The role focuses on precise airframe and power plant maintenance as crew chief for U-2 aircraft.

Responsibilities include heavy depot maintenance, component removal/installation, inspection, and readiness for flight. Candidates should be prepared for training in electrical/structural repair and to work per technical orders and procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years as U-2 Crew Chief/Aircraft Mechanic or 8 years in fighter/large aircraft Crew Chief roles.
• Craftsman level (7-Level USAF) in a similar role or equivalent (Navy/Army/A&P).
• 5+ years U-2 Aircraft Maintenance Experience including Phase or Depot PDM and/or MOD team flightline.

Responsibilities

• Heavy Depot Level Maintenance, Repair and modification of the aircraft structure and major subassemblies.
• Remove, replace and install aircraft components, parts, surfaces, and subsystems.
• Inspect, overhaul and service aircraft and associated components.
• Willingness to be trained to operate and repair electrical and structural components.
