Job summary

Woolpert is actively seeking a TxDOT Project Manager to lead the planning and execution of complex construction projects within our Aviation Team. You will serve as the primary point of contact for clients and contractors, ensuring compliance with plans, schedules, and contract requirements.

This part-time, as-needed role requires on-site leadership and collaboration across disciplines. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of construction management, PE/ACI/NICET credentials, and strong

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant construction management experience, including contract administration and pay estimate processes.
• 10-Hour OSHA Construction Certificate or ability to obtain.
• Professional Engineer License or ACI Certification and NICET Level IV (Highway Construction Inspection).
• Ability to lead execution of complex, high-risk, or high-visibility projects independently.
• Advanced knowledge of construction project delivery, including scope, schedule, budget, and contract administration.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• On-site Observation: monitor daily construction activities and review site safety protocols.
• Documentation: prepare daily progress reports, weekly summaries, and closeout documentation.
• Observation and Material Testing: coordinate inspectors and review QC/QA testing results.
• Project Coordination: lead coordination of field activities, schedules, and documentation; manage risks and issues.
• Quantity Tracking: document field verifications, review quantity records, and prepare final pay estimates and quantity documentation.
• Lead project meetings and mentor junior staff; supervise on-site staff.
