Job summary

Teach For America is seeking individuals to join a national, nonprofit two-year teaching corps. The program places you in under-resourced public schools, pays a full salary, provides health insurance and benefits, and supports you with training and coaching.

Start date Late Spring 2027. Open to college seniors, grads, and early-career professionals from any major with a 2.5 GPA or higher, who are citizens or eligible residents.

Qualifications

• 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher.
• Bachelor’s degree (in any field of study).
• Citizen, national, or legal resident of the United States, EAD holder, or have DACA status.
• No background in education or teaching certification required—candidates from all majors and experience levels are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Teach two years full-time in an under-resourced public school.
• Build genuine relationships with students and families — not just lesson plans.
• Learn to navigate the barriers kids face inside and outside the classroom.
• Sharpen communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills through daily classroom leadership.
• Work alongside your school community to remove obstacles and open doors for students who need it most.
