Job summary

Mohawk Industries is seeking workers for production roles in Dalton, GA. You will set up, operate and tend to yarn twisting machines, load yarn, and manage buggies along the line to ensure continuous production.

Responsibilities include spindle operation, minor repairs, quality checks with light inspection, adherence to safety procedures, and active participation in training. Prior yarn/manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Successful completion of all required on the job training.
• Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training.
• Previous Yarn or Manufacturing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and tend to machines that twist yarn together.
• Creel yarn packages, load yarn into twister, and reposition buggies.
• Thread ends of yarns, operate spindle, and repair breakouts during production.
• Doff twisted yarn packages and transfer to conveyor or buggy.
• Monitor production output and machine equipment for safe operation.
• Clean and dechoke spindles to maintain efficiency and meet production needs.
• Perform quality checks using black lights to inspect yarn.
• Attend job-related training as required by supervision.
• Follow standard operating procedures and company safety policies.
• Perform housekeeping duties and other tasks as assigned.
