Job summary

Mohawk Industries, Inc. is seeking a TWISTER OPERATOR for 2nd shift at our textile production facility. The role involves setting up, operating, and tending twister machinery to twist yarn, manage creel, thread ends, and ensure safe, efficient production.

You will perform quality checks, monitor equipment, assist with maintenance, and follow all safety procedures. Physical tasks include lifting up to 50 pounds and working in an industrial environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• On-the-job training completion is required.
• Required health and environmental safety training completion.
• Previous yarn or manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and tend to twister machinery.
• Creel yarn packages and load yarn into twister.
• Reposition yarn buggies and stage tubes for winder operation.
• Thread yarn ends, operate spindle, repair breakouts.
• Doff twisted yarn packages and transfer to containers.
• Monitor production output and machine safety; maintain efficiency.
• Clean and dechoke spindles; perform quality checks with black lights.
• Follow SOPs and safety policies; perform housekeeping.
• Attend training as required by supervision.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.
