Job summary

Mohawk Industries, Inc. in Chatsworth, GA is seeking a Twister Operator A on the rotating shift. You will set up, operate, and tend to yarn-twisting machines, loading creels, threading yarn, and ensuring safe, efficient production in a fast-paced textile environment.

Ideal candidates have basic math skills, can work in a team, and adhere to safety standards. A High School Diploma or equivalent and prior yarn/manufacturing experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Successful completion of all required on the job training.
• Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training.
• Previous Yarn or Manufacturing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and tend to many machines organized into a frame that twist yarn together.
• Creel single or double ply yarn packages and load yarn into twister.
• Reposition buggies of yarn at the twisters and stage tubes for winder operation.
• Thread ends of single yarns, operate the spindle, and repair breakouts during production runs.
• Doff twisted yarn packages and transfer them from the conveyor to a buggy/container.
• Monitor production output and machine equipment for safe and efficient operation.
• Clean and dechoke spindles to maintain machine efficiency and meet production requirements.
• Perform quality checks using black lights to check yarn.
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision.
• Follow all established standard operating and safety procedures as well as company policies.
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Successful completion of all required on the job training

Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training

Previous Yarn or Manufacturing experience is preferred
