Job summary

Mohawk Industries, a global flooring leader, is seeking an on-site Yarn Twister Operator in Georgia. You will set up and run multiple machines to twist yarn, load materials, and monitor production while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Training provided, with opportunities to contribute to efficient manufacturing and process improvements. The role emphasizes teamwork, basic math, attention to detail, and adherence to SOPs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Education and hands-on training required or preferred.
• Ability to operate in a team-based environment.
• Read and interpret product specs and procedures.
• Attention to detail to meet quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and tend to machines that twist yarn together.
• Creel yarn and load into twister.
• Reposition buggies of yarn and stage tubes for winding.
• Thread ends of yarn, operate spindle, and repair breakouts.
• Doff twisted yarn packages and transfer to buggy or container.
• Monitor production output and machine safety.
• Clean and dechoke spindles to maintain efficiency.
• Perform quality checks using black lights to check yarn.
• Attend training as required by supervision.
• Follow all SOPs and company policies.
• Perform housekeeping and other tasks as assigned.
