Job summary

Mohawk Industries, Inc. in Chatsworth, Georgia is seeking a Twister Operator on the D shift to support yarn twisting lines. You will set up, operate, and monitor multiple machines, ensure safe production, and maintain quality according to process standards.

This role requires basic math, teamwork, and attention to detail. On-site, physically active with lifting up to 50 pounds, and exposure to industrial environments; prior yarn or manufacturing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Successful completion of all required on the job training.
• Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training.
• Previous Yarn or Manufacturing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and tend to machines that twist yarn together.
• Creel yarn packages and load yarn into the twister.
• Reposition yarn buggies at the twisters and stage tubes for winding.
• Thread yarn ends, operate spindles, and repair breakouts during production runs.
• Doff twisted yarn packages and transfer to containers.
• Monitor production output and machinery for safe, efficient operation.
• Clean and dechoke spindles to maintain efficiency.
• Perform quality checks using black lights to inspect yarn.
• Attend job-related training as directed by supervision.
• Follow SOPs, safety procedures, and company policies.
• Perform general housekeeping as needed.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.
